  3. Tubing and fittings shall be seamless or welded as specified by the customer.
  4. Tubing and fittings shall be marked by an approved method per ASTM A1016 specification. The mark can contain; manufacturer’s identification, the size and wall thickness, the alloy, and the heat number. Finished products shall be mill and heat traceable to the original mill test report.
  5. All bar stock shall conform to the requirements of ASTM A479.
  6. Sulfur controlled material is available upon request.
4.0 Surface Finish
  1. The ID of the tubing and fittings shall be as drawn and/or mechanically polished to 32uin Ra max.
  2. The OD of the tubing and fittings shall be bright annealed or 32uin Ra as specified by customer.
5.0 Cleaning and Packaging
  1. WinTech does not use mercury or ozone depleting chemicals in the process of our products.
  2. All tubing and fittings will be thermocouple cleaned and capped in accordance with ASTM A632 – S3
  3. Final drying will be UHP grade nitrogen, filtered at the point of use.
  4. All tubing and fittings shall be individually bagged with 4-6 mil polyethylene tubing.
  5. Tube ends may be covered with polyamide nylon film upon request.
  6. CFOS cleaning per CGA G-4.1 and ASTM G93 is available upon request.
6.0 Testing and Inspection
  1. WinTech will measure tubing and fittings with calipers, micrometers, or other acceptable methods, to certify that the finished products conform to the dimensional requirements to which they were ordered.

Materials

Sanitary tubing is available in alloys 304/304L and 316/316L. All 316/316L seamless tubing is supplied with a sulfur content of .005-.012% and welded tubing is supplied with a sulfur content of .005-.017% as specified in ASTM A270, Supp. S2 ASME-BPE. Available in A249, A269 and A270

Marking

Bright annealed tubing is line-stenciled with OD, wall, ASTM specification, manufacturer, grade, heat number, or per ASME-BPE.

Mechanical Tests

To ensure the highest quality in all of our sanitary products, WinTech meets or exceeds the requirements of ASTM and/or ASME A213 EAW, A269 and/or A270 S2, per order.

Surface Finish

All ID surface finishes are u-in Ra maximum, with an optional 32 u-in OD maximum measured per ASME/ANSI B46.1.

Cleaning

As an option any WinTech product can be TC&C (thermocouple cleaned and capped) or CFOS (cleaned for oxygen service). Class 10 cleanroom processing and packaging is available for final cleaning.

Inspection

100% of all WinTech tubing shall be inspected for conformance to most recent ASME BPE or SEMI acceptance criteria for interior surface finishes of tubing.

Protective Packaging

Packaging is provided to protect the OD, for polished material, as well as the ID of the products. Protective caps and bagging is available to ensure the products arrive at your site in the same excellent condition they left our facility. For WinTech 10 Polyamide Nylon film is covered then capped.

Tubing can be ordered with ends faced ready for orbital welding.

Winter Technologies will supply the following reports and certificates of analysis with all WinTech orders when applicable:

  • Material Test Reports
  • Certificate of Conformance
  • SEM, ESCA, AUGER when required
