WinTech 20 is as drawn and/or mechanically polished, seamless, TIG or Laser Welded, and is mechanically polished to 20 µ-in Ra max ID for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, semiconductor and other high purity processes in compliance with ASME-BPE SFT1.

WinTech 30 is as drawn and/or mechanically polished, seamless, TIG or Laser Welded, and is mechanically polished to 30 µ-in Ra max ID for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, semiconductor and other high purity processes in compliance with ASME-BPE SFT3.

WinTech 40 is as drawn and/or mechanically polished, seamless, TIG or Laser Welded, and is mechanically polished to 40 µ-in Ra max ID for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, semiconductor.

WinTech BA is as drawn and/or mechanically polished, seamless, TIG or Laser Welded, as a bright annealed commercial tube for all general industries.

Materials Our sanitary tubing is available in alloys 304/304L and 316/316L. All 316/316L tube is supplied with a sulfur content of .005-.017% as specified in ASTM A270, Supp. S2.1.1. Available in A249, A269 and A270

Mechanical Tests Mechanical testing is in accordance with ASTM A450, which includes reverse bend, reverse flattening and flange tests. Eddy current tests are performed on 100% of the tube produced.

Marking Bright annealed tubing is line-stenciled with OD, wall, ASTM specification, manufacturer, grade, heat number and production date and time. OD-polished tubing is mechanically etched at one end with the heat number.

Cleaning As an option any WinTech product can be TC&C (thermocouple cleaned and capped) or CFOS (cleaned for oxygen service). Cleanroom processing and packaging is available for final cleaning.

The Advantages of LaserTube The Laser’s high heat concentration creates a deep, narrow weld making a significantly smaller heat-affected zone. This improves LaserTube’s weld integrity which makes it more corrosion resistant than TIG-welded tubes. This will help minimize rouging.

The higher quality of the weld gives LaserTube greater strength and ductility. Tests show that LaserTube is consistently more resistant to corrosion than conventional TIG-welded products.

LaserTube eliminates many of the reasons for rejections associated with conventionally welded tube such as, pitting at the weld, oxides, star burst, weld slag and weld porosity.

Inspection 100% of all WinTech tubing shall be inspected for conformance to ASME BPE acceptance criteria for interior surface finishes of tubing.

Winter Technologies will supply the following reports and certificates of analysis with all WinTech orders when applicable:

Certificate of Conformation
Mill Test Reports

Protective Packaging Packaging is provided to protect the OD, for polished material, as well as the ID of the products. Protective caps and bagging is available to ensure the products arrive at your site in the same excellent condition they left our facility.

Tubing can be ordered with ends faced ready for orbital welding.
